Location, location, location

So you know when you're sitting in a bus and all of the sudden goes "where am I?". The immediate reaction is to look out through the window in hope to find an answer. Well that happened to me today, so I looked out and tried to locate myself by reading the signs, this is what I got:

"Birmingham Settlement"
"Strawberry Field"
"Solihull Meat"
"Golden City"
"Shirley Tile Studio"
"American Golf"
"Forbidden City"

Allllright, that really did not help me at all! I mean although "Golden City" where I believe is in America (like all Swedes believed hundred years ago) and "American Golf" really confirms that I think I would have noticed if the bus had turned into a plane. (Some planes actually feels more or less like buses but still.) "Strawberry Field".. I don't even know what to comment on that :P.
So, apart from "Forbidden City" where my guesses are is in The Middle East somewhere where everything is forbidden, we're down to an area of about 300 km2. An area I was pretty sure I was in before I looked out of the window..
I ended up recognizing myself from a roundabout with some specific trees and bushes. So not only did I then found out where I was, I also understood why the Brits have roundabouts everywhere, that's how they know where they are! Because the signs are sure not for any help at all.

  1. Hahahaa... sånt där är hemskt! Förra veckan fick jag köra Johannes till jobbet för jag behövde bilen under dagen och hans skjuts hade glömt bort honom. När han klev ur bilen så sa han "det är bara att följa vägen". Ja just det... Tur att man har GPS, tänkte jag , men det var faktiskt sant. Jag hade ingen aning om var jag var, men till slut kände jag igen mig och strax därefter var jag hemma. :)
