I'm trying to build your wall

I'm all about giving second chances. I see absolutely nothing wrong with that, and I'm very thankful for everyone that's given me mine.
What I'm thinking about is how many second chances you should give to one single person. I know that I can be very harsh to people that have wronged me and sometimes my own wall might be a little bit to high. I just don't want to get hurt, and it really pains me to see people I love taking their walls down time after time only to get more hurt then ever and get absolutely nothing for it. No love, no friendship, just pain.
It's even more hard for me not to get involved. I don't often get involved, but if anyone hurts my friends or family I need them to know that it will never happen again. Unfortunately this decision is not always mine. I'm probably the most overprotective person I know but however much I want to, I can never build someone else's wall.
So yes, second chances, third chances for all I care and always, always forgive. You don't want to carry it around in your own life and never really be able to let go, so always forgive. But at some point you just have to realise that some people will never stop hurting you. This point has been crossed long ago, so build up your wall and let go.

The power of..?

Father Christmas

Today it's two months til Christmas, Swedish Christmas that is. And since Spotify is being so mean and only let me listen to 10h a month it's lucky that I happen to have the most considerate father in the whole world! Because last year he sent me a three discs Christmas CD, which means that I can listen to Christmas music however much I want to :). Thank you daddy!

Check me out!

As my sister Linda already mentioned ages ago, in France you're nothing if you don't have a check-book. You basically do not exist and it's simply impossible to make some payments without it. In Sweden nobody ever uses check-books. They do exist but not to the normal public. Here in England it's a little bit in-between. Everybody has them but you don't necessarily need one to survive. I must say it's very practical on your birthdays to receive checks. Since they're in your name nobody else can use them so it's a lot safer to post than cash. This week my husband taught me how to use my check-book and I wrote my very first check! It felt very weird to hand over a check to the guy who just tiled our kitchen but at the same time I felt very grown-up. I must say I enjoyed that feeling, it was new and it was British.

Family is more then everything

You know the feeling you have the night before Christmas.. It's far too much to do left because you want everything to be perfect but you know that it's actually good enough. You've been running around for hours and your body is totally exhausted. If you walk in to something you'd probably start crying because all your senses is hypersensitive. But still you feel happy. You know you're doing something good and you know that Christmas is coming. Somehow that makes everything OK. Even though it's not Christmas tomorrow that's how I feel now. I'm exhausted but still happy. Been doing way too much tonight but I'm so happy that Christmas is coming and my life is kind of wonderful.
